"Elea" Goddess of Empathy and Sorrows

  I will share some WIPS of a cement sculpture I am working on. I decided to call her "Elea" who is the Goddess of Empathy and Sorrows.  Like with most of my artwork that I create - she is rooted in intuition and lives in the shadows of my soul. I have witnessed and felt a lot of sorrows this past year and making her has helped me to channel some of the emotions that go with this. l have enjoyed working with  her ...and very grateful to have the wonderful company or our dog, CeZanne Blue by my side. He has been thru some ups and many downs and we are Truly blessed to have him in our lives  still. He loves to watch me work and truly is my studio-dog.
To digress some:
Some ask why he is named, CeZanne Blue. It is a long story as to how we met.....another time for that one....but for now the reason we gave him his name is that he has two different colored eyes. One is half blue and is the same color blue that the French Artist, "CeZanne" used in his paintings.

Elea is made from Cement- I have enjoyed using "Buddy Rhodes vertical Mix" a great product. I use galvanized mesh as armature. All hand formed by hand. I find i like best the cake knife...to apply the mix! I mix the cement by hand in small batches.
